About

Becki Whitton is an engineer, songwriter and producer working out of Melbourne’s Carriage Studio. Her work spans range of genres – from pop (Stella Donnelly, Jessica Mauboy) to electronic (Banoffee, 潘PAN), to ambient-experimental (Brambles, Dear Laika). Becki has received ARIA, AWMA, AIR, MPEG and Music Victoria Award nominations for her sound work, and managed sound for Noisy Futures (formerly Girls Rock! ACT) from 2016-2022.

She is actively involved in the left-field music community and in 2021 created The Wettest 100 - an alternative music countdown focused on genres that sit outside of Australia’s mainstream. Alongside her engineering work Becki makes music under the moniker of Aphir for which she has performed marathon 8 - 12hr vocal improvisations and supported the likes of Chelsea Wolfe and Tangerine Dream.
